Ahtapot is an awarded next-gen closed community app that provides sophisticated tools to engage and communicate with audiences. Makine partnered with Ahtapot to develop its corporate ID and re-designed the app from the ground up to deliver best-in-class user experience. Together, we repositioned Ahtapot as "The next-gen AI based community app that connects better".
Makine analyzed Ahtapot's modules and their relation to each other in order to define existing problems. We found out that users had difficulties to explore major functions and tools while using the app. To overcome those difficulties we prioritized questions and assumptions and turned our findings into hypotheses for each of Ahtapot's modules. By re-designing the app according to our hypotheses we were able to develop much more effective, user-friendly interfaces that solved mostly all pre-defined problems. Experience design for digital products is a never-ending process, and through hypothesis-driven design, we cultivated a usability testing tradition for Ahtapot's team to get valuable insights on what to improve next.
